About me
I'm a self-taught painter and have been painting for over thirty years. I received my first set of watercolor paints as a child and haven't stopped painting. Painting has always been a part of my life even after college, graduate school, and building a career. But, all of that changed the day I survived a traumatic brain injury from a car accident. My TBI resulted with significant life transitions, among which being partnered with a service dog.
Each painting in its detail is sketched by hand then watercolors are applied. I am often asked where I get ideas for my work; most often it's either environmental, part of a conversation, or simply imaginary. Whichever way, each painting takes it's own shape from beginning to end, resulting with a vibrant narrative.
